Job summary
Locum Consultant Vascular Surgeon (10 PA, Fixed Term - 6 months)
We are looking for a Consultant Vascular Surgeon initially on a fixed term basis for 6 months to work in our team with a view to applying for a substantive position which has funding in place.
Key duties will include supervising and running outpatient clinics; hybrid and open surgery operating lists; care for patients on the ward in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, including ward nurses and specialist nursing teams; contribution to the vascular MDTs; vascular and endovascular working; teaching of medical students, junior doctors and allied healthcare professionals.
Main duties of the job
The post will be based at the Royal London Hospital; however the post-holder will undertake spoke site responsibilities at Newham University Hospital - OPD; ward round.
You must hold full registration with the General Medical Council and be on the specialist register or within 6 months of obtaining CCT.
