Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated consultant in Integrated Sexual Health to join our dynamic multidisciplinary Sexual Health and HIV team based at Sir Ludwig Guttmann (SLG) Health and Wellbeing Centre, Stratford, London, Barts Health NHS Trust. SLG is a Level 3 service for both GU medicine and SRH. It is one of two Centres of Excellence in East London (the other is in Whitechapel) with a number of associated satellites across the boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest.The advertised post is for 7 PAs as parental leave cover for one of our substantive consultants in Integrated Sexual Health and HIV and sits under the Division of Specialist Medicine at Barts Health NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job
Clinical responsibilities include clinical leadership for the female referral sexual health clinic at SLG and leading the Antenatal HIV service for Newham and Whipps Cross hospitals. The post holder will and will also participate in the senior doctor rota and provide general integrated Sexual Health clinics. There is no on-call responsibility, but there is evening and Saturday clinical work (5 Saturdays per year - 2 in Stratford and 3 in Whitechapel).The department is part of the North East London Clinical Services Network thus providing excellent opportunities to engage in clinical leadership, teaching and research.You should have your CCT or CESR in Genitourinary Medicine or CCT in another specialty with clear proven interest and equivalent skills and experience; or be eligible for inclusion within 6 months of the interview date.
