Please note this is a fixed term post until 31st December 2024.
Applications are invited for the post of Trust Grade Registrar in ENT (equivalent to ST3/4level) to join the ENT team at Whipps Cross Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will need to demonstrate commitment to teamwork with colleagues, develop clinical care pathways in the overall management of ENT patient actively participate in the teaching audit and research in the department.
The post holder will participate in an on-call rota of 1:7

The post holder will be expected to participate in the clinical work in the department providing high standards of care for in patients and outpatients.
The Trust Registrar Doctor will be working as part of a team with a Consultants, Registrars SHOs and alongside the nursing staff and other allied health care providers. Duties involve seeing patients in Consultant-led outpatient clinics, leading daily ward rounds of inpatients, operating and assisting in theatre, on call on a 1:7 rota and other general ENT Registrar duties. There is an expectation that the Registrars are involved in teaching of juniors, take part in the audit and research of the department. At least 3 years of ENT experience is essential and passing the MRCS would be a desirable criterion.
