An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with the ability to work flexibly and a proactive "can do" attitude to join the Gynaecology Department as a Colposcopy Coordinator. The Colposcopy Coordinator will work as part of a team of administrators to manage the end-to-end clinical administrative processes associated to the patient pathways, ensuring a smooth and efficient colposcopy service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, in order to deliver a high-quality administration service to suit the needs of our service users.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, data management and strong IT skills are essential, you must be committed to a high standard of patient care, and safety. You will have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work as part of a team. You will play a vital role in the delivery of patient care via the management of the patient's end-to-end pathway.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for providing administrative support to the Colposcopy Unit including supporting with audits, organising meetings, taking minutes of meetings, data input and collection on behalf of the Barts Health Colposcopy lead and communicating with the wider colposcopy team.
- To support the colpscopy unit in monitoring and evaluating Trust compliance with cancer service targets by working with the various MDTs, consultants and other key staff.
- Support with the collection, collation, and maintenance of all colposcopy data Cyres colposcopy database. Coordination of the data with consultants, GPs and patients. Reporting back to the Cervical Screening QA (Quality Assurance Centre) for audit purposes.
- Undertaking appointment bookings, adhering to national guidelines, protocols and targets. Managing own workload and acting on an independent basis, ensuring all work is prioritized according to the demands of the service.
