Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic MRI registered Radiographer to work in close conjunction with the MRI Superintendent Radiographer and team at our MRI unitat Mile End Hospital which is part of the new Community Diagnostics Centre and the existing Early Diagnosis Centre.

Potential candidates should preferably have at least two years' experience of working within MRI modality and have at least 2 years of post-qualifying experience . This is not a MR training post. Excellent communication and computer skills are essential.

You will be working on a rota basis within the MRI team covering 7.30 am to 8 pm days Monday to Sunday.

The centre is equipped with a 3T wide bore Siemens MAGNETOM Vida (DE) scanner.

We will be providing a service to a wide range of cancer, urgent, rheumatology and routine outpatients across North East of London.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will participate in the effective running of the MRI department under the direction of the senior staff, ensuring delivery of high quality patient care. In liaison with the senior radiographers the post holder will provide supervision of junior staff, students and assistant practitioners.
