Due to the promotion of the existing post-holder, we have an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Dietitian, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Speech and Language Therapist to lead our OT, Physio, SLT and Dietetics Inpatient Therapy Services at the Royal London hospital. These teams and services provide highly specialist assessment and treatment to patients across Specialist Medicine, Emergency Care & Trauma, Surgery, Peri Operative and Adult Critical Care pathways. We are looking for an experienced, highly enthusiastic, collaborative, and innovative leader to provide operational management and professional and clinical leadership of the inpatient therapy services on the site.
Main duties of the job
The Royal London hospital inpatient therapy services work within integrated multidisciplinary divisional teams to support the delivery of excellent and innovative patient care for our local population of Tower Hamlets, alongside leading and delivering within tertiary specialist services. You will be joining a dedicated and supportive team of therapists with significant expertise and innovation within supporting acute patient care and those with highly complex needs.
You will provide direct clinical supervision and operational line management across the clinical leads and be responsible for therapists and support staff alongside supporting professional leadership and networks. You will work closely with the Associate Director of Therapies for RLHMEH and Clinical Leads to create our future vision and priorities for therapy services to deliver compassionate patient care and excellent staff experience.
You will also be supported and work collaboratively with the Associate Director of Therapies for RLHMEH, other Heads of Therapies on other Bart's Health sites, and the Group Director of AHPs to develop and implement a wider therapies workforce strategy and new AHP strategic priorities, realising inpatient therapies opportunities for workforce development, clinical effectiveness, research, and innovation.
