Job summary
We are looking to recruit a confident and experienced HR Advisor to provide operational HR support for St Bartholomew's Hospital.
You will provide a comprehensive high quality, responsive HR service to managers and staff within the hospital. You will provide advice on terms and conditions, policies, and procedures. You will maintain good quality records and progress logs of advisory and case work. The post holder will also manage specific projects as required.
You will provide high quality workforce information to managers within the designated Division, working closely with other colleagues and People teams to ensure consistency.
You will Work with designated management teams, to develop and influence their understanding and implementation of key People priorities within their teams. You will participate in delivering training to support managers to effectively manage people related matters.
You will Ensure Trust People policies and procedures are translated and applied locally in line with our fair and just culture framework.
You will support the People team in the implementation of Barts Health People Strategies.
You will provide Employee Relations support to managers with regards to investigations in accordance with Barts Health HR Policies and procedures.
You will develop and maintain good relationships and communication with the outsourced payroll service and liaise with managers and staff to resolve any pay issues proactively and in a timely manner.
Main duties of the job
- Reporting to the HR Manager and with matrix leadership from the People Partners for Corporate Services, the post holder will ensure the provision of professional, customer-focussed HR advice, coaching and solutions to designated Directorate/Services across Bart's Health
- To ensure Corporate Trust People policies and procedures are translated and applied locally within operating frameworks
- Working in partnership with managers to develop and deliver an effective employee relations service at the Bart which is a crucial element of the overall People Strategy that will deliver an approach to people management that embodies a people-centered culture of learning.
This role is responsible for supporting the management and co-ordination of the employee relations casework, ensuring that case work is carried out consistently in an effective and efficient way in accordance with Barts Health policies and procedures, current legislation and best practice
