A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly, pharmacy operational team.
We require an experienced individual with drive, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to work under pressure and to lead a team through pharmacy processes and changes. You should be a team player, able to perform effectively within the pharmacy and wider healthcare settings and have leadership experience.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Training and developing staff
- Monitoring and reporting KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Leading operational team
- Implementing and updating SOPs and processes
- Oversee the running of Controlled drugs, Dispensary, Distribution and Medicine Managemen

For this role you are required to be registered with the General pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), You should have experience in leading a pharmacy team. You will also be required to hold an accredited checking accreditation.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage a team of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants and trainee pharmacy assistants. They will deliver patient-focused, quality care, based at Whipps Cross University Hospital.An integrated service delivery model is in place which is a move away from a traditional split between dispensary and medicines management services; staff work across both areas as a multi-skilled team in all aspects of pharmacy service delivery. This enables pharmacy to put patients' needs at the centre of our services.The post holder will oversee the effective management of the team by:o Monitoring and reporting Key Performances Indicators (KPIs)o Training and developing the teamo Monitoring and auditing the management of controlled drugs, FP10 and stocko Co-ordinating pharmacy specific auditso Implementing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
