This post will work across Royal London and Mile End Hospitals. The Royal London is a major teaching hospital providing a broad range of local and specialist services in state-of-the-art facilities. The Royal London is the base for the internationally renowned trauma team, home to the London air ambulance and leading stroke and renal units.
The AHP Clinical Lead for Neurosciences and Trauma will lead on the design, implementation, and development, providing clinical leadership and management of the neurosciences; neuro rehab, stroke and trauma pathways within the Royal London Hospital Tower Hamlets Community and as part of the wider North East London ICB. Two key current workstreams that the post holder will bring specific AHP clinical expertise and leadership to are: the ongoing development of Rapid Assessment and Rehabilitation (RAAR) beds based at RLH and the integration of Tower Hamlets Community Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation pathways

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be at the forefront of the development of the Royal London and Mile End Hospitals Neurotrauma, Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation pathways (inpatient, outpatient and community). This will include working closely with speciality lead clinicians, Allied Health, Diagnostics and Cancer Services Division and the Emergency Care and Trauma Divisional Triumverate. The post holder will lead and support multidisciplinary initiatives within the Royal London Hospital and Tower Hamlets community trauma, neuro and stroke pathways to opimise resource utilisation and develop clinicalpathways to improve the AHP management and rehabilitation of patients with complex trauma and neurological conditions. This will include leading AHP quality improvement projects, developing clinical and digital innovation and supporting audit and research in order to continuously improve patientexperience and clinical pathways.
The AHP Clincial Lead will provide expert clinical leadership and work in partnership with internal and system partners across the Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest Integrated Care System (TNW ICS), the Trauma Network and service users to develop appropriate integrated clinical pathways and service specifications. They will collaboratively lead on the design, implementation and operational management of integrated assessment and rehabilitation pathways for people supported within neurotrauma or neurological condition pathways.
