An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join the Hackney Ark and Royal London Paediatric Audiology service as the Band 5 Admin Team Leader.
We are looking for a personable, highly professional, motivated and experienced individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be working across two sites in a fast-paced and ever changing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team, providing professional administrative support, and resolving day to day issues independently, acting as a source of advice and guidance and to be the first point of contact in the service.
The post holder will manage a team of administrators and is expected to monitor their performance, conduct annual appraisals and effectively allocate work and resources to the team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will play a key role in actively managing the administrative processes of patient pathways and the associated administrative staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service for patients throughout their journey. This links to also provide an effective administration service to the multidisciplinary team. Key functions include:
- Line management of administrative staff for Paediatric Audiology including recruitment, appraisal, development, performance, and allocation of work/resources.
- Undertake secretarial functions as part of secretarial team and in line with access targets.
- Manage the implementation of SOPs, admin systems, and and admin service improvements including new technology for the service
- Ensure quality of admin services provided to patients and staff by the admin team
- Resolve problems, escalating where necessary
- Implement suitable cross cover arrangements
- Support the Management team/Clinical lead with some department meetings
