Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at one of the UK's largest NHS Trusts. We are looking for a Band 7 who is ready for new challenges or an experienced Band 6 who is seeking promotional opportunities to join our team.The successful candidate will be a dedicated, innovative, passionate, skilled & motivated clinician with experience of working with a Cystic Fibrosis or Bronchiectasis patient population. They will have excellent verbal & written communication skills, with empathy & compassion at the heart of the care that they provide within the framework of our multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

To provide outpatient CF and Bronchiectasis clinics with the support of the clinical lead physiotherapist.

To assist in developing a virtual ward and home review program for patients with CF on home intravenous antibiotic therapy.

To take a lead role in the advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the speciality who may have highly complex needs, & to determine clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment indicated, maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.

To be responsible for the supervision of junior team members within the cardiorespiratory therapy team.

To be responsible for the continuing professional development and overall performance of all therapy staff in the service.

To co-ordinate daily allocation of workloads within the cardio-respiratory therapy team.

To work with the Clinical Lead Therapist to develop the service to best meet changing health and social care agendas. The post is responsible for a team of staff in their clinical area and may be required to work across hospital sites and or more than one speciality area
