Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent Buyer - Soft FM - for the Procurement and eCommerce Department.
The Buyer will take responsibility for the purchase of goods and services by processing approved requisitions in the Oracle Procure 2 Pay system, implement procurement processes, assist in sourcing suppliers, provide services to clients, day to day operations, and engage with stakeholder to deliver high quality care to their patients and service users.
The role will report to the Procurement Ops and Catalogue Manager and provide support to the Deputy Director of Sourcing, and support several high profile NEL ICS procurement initiatives.
The duties and responsibilities of the role include:
- Recognising how the Buyer - Soft FM's tasks align with the strategy of department and Trust.
- Listening to the needs of stakeholders and engaging in productive discussions about options.
- Implement procurement policies and update in line with changing laws.
- Taking ownership for delivering Customer Service to our clients.
- Engage successfully with clinical/managerial/end users.
- Recognising the need to engage others in discussions about proposed changes and explaining the reasons and benefits.
- Develop and motivate other staff to support the Trust's strategic direction.
