We have a great opportunity for a Band 7 senior Occupational Health Advisor to join us at the Employee wellbeing Service at Barts Health. You will be working with an established, friendly team that offers an innovative model to preventative health for all Barts staff.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of occupational health specialists.
Main duties of the job
To participate in an efficient, effective, comprehensive, high quality Occupational Health service using evidence based Occupational Health.
To provide the full remit of occupational health service. The role will predominately be focused on the pre-placement, immunisation and health surveillance provision for the Trust, alongside management referrals, with an emphasis on providing quality, evidence-based reports to allow managers to provide support to staff with reasonable adjustments. The post holder will ensure a proactive comprehensive service is provided and delivered to the highest standard and support the delivery to Barts Health NHS Trust and associated external contracts.
The post holder will have responsibility of the clinical clearance team and work with other occupational health advisors. The role will include the implementation and monitoring of policies, standards and guidelines within the Barts Health NHS Trust service.
The Specialist Practitioners are required to act as a professional leader to the team and to encourage and maintain a supportive and learning environment, where there is a focus on lifelong learning and reflective practice. The senior occupational health advisor will have line management responsibilities for the clinical clearance team. They will also deal with the complex management referrals and work alongside the Occupational Health advisors.
