Job summary

We are looking for a People Information Specialist to join our team for 12 months

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge in using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools as well as have previous people information experience

Whilst not essential the successfully candidate will have experience of reporting from SQL databases

Main duties of the job

People information is a key resource used by the Trust and its managers for operational and performance management and strategic planning. It enables the Trust and its managers to deliver services that are both productive and of high quality. The People Information Specialist will:

  • develop analytical and statistical tools to meet the current and future needs of internal and external customers
  • optimise access to workforce information and tools
  • develop the capability of customers to use workforce information and tools for operational and performance management, planning and effective governance processes
  • undertake highly complex analyses and reporting
  • ensure data quality, security and confidentiality requirements are established and achieved

The role requires technical expertise and equally as important the ability to use a range of communication skills to work effectively with other professions and levels of technical competence and confidence.

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant numerate discipline eg maths, statistics, economics, clinical training or have developed knowledge and skills to an equivalent standard plus additional specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate level education or equivalent relevant experience

Experience

  • Experience of collating and analysing statistical information and producing written reports and other materials for non statistical professionals to aid performance management, business decisions and improvement processes
  • Experience of data modelling and creation of dashboards
