An exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Endocrine Research Nurse to join the Children's research team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The research that we conduct is focused on the holistic approach to patient care and significantly contributes to the future progress of healthcare for all. Working clinically with the team you will promote high standards of both patient care and research practice and contribute to the recruitment and retention of patients in clinical research studies.

Main duties of the job

The post holder's primary role will be to contribute actively to the conduct, coordination, and delivery of endocrine clinical research studies related to puberty and pituitary disease at The Royal London Hospital. Working effectively with the immediate and broader multidisciplinary team, being responsible for ensuring that high standards of clinical care planning, delivery, safety, and patient satisfaction is to a very high standard, compliant with trust policy, study protocol requirements, local and national guidance, and legislation. The post holder will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and carers participating in trials. This will involve the recruitment, education and monitoring of children in studies and the collection and documentation of accurate data. You will work closely with your extended team, Queen Mary's University, JRMO (R&D), investigators and the study / clinical teams. You will work collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT) in the management of your own caseload of children and carers in the clinical studies. The post holder will deliver the studies under the leadership of the Senior Research Nurses at The Royal London Hospital Children's Clinical Research Facility.
