Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic play specialist that is looking to lead the team by example.
Providing day to day operational management of the service and be responsible for the development of the service as well as the play team staff.
The play team works within the in-patient and out-patient departments of the Royal London Children's. It is made up of play specialists and play workers providing care and assessment of children.
The role will involve providing highly specialist expertise in the management of patients requiring therapeutic play, coping, anxiety and procedural support.
This will include the management of the play referral service, as well as managing an in-patient and out-patient caseload, while providing support and clinical supervision to the wider team.
The post holder will work with the therapy clinical leads as well as the head of acute children's therapy in managing the budgets, looking at workforce planning and governance.
