Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon - Subspecialty in Hands, using brachial block Anaesthesia.
Barts Health NHS Trust are looking for a substantive consultant 10 PA post to the Orthopaedic Department across three sites at Barts Health NHS Trust. This post will be focused on elective and trauma hand surgery using brachial block anaesthesia. The appointee will work closely with the established elective and trauma hand specialists in the Department.
Main duties of the job
The Royal London Hospital is the primary location with weekly clinic and operating. Experience working within an MTC environment and microsurgery will be essential as the role is also on the on-call for Orthopaedic surgery. The new appointee will be expected to function as an integral member of the trauma multi-disciplinary team based at based at Barts Health as well as the elective team. During the course of the pandemic, the team have been working at many sites both NHS and independent and the appointee may be expected to work on these sites to deliver care.
You must hold full registration with the General Medical Council and preferably be on the Specialist Registrar or within 3 months of obtaining CCST.
