Whipps Cross University Hospital, part of the Barts Health NHS Trust Group is looking for a variety of fixed term clinical fellow (ST1/2 equivalent) posts. These posts are fixed term for 6 month.

Main duties of the job
This post will be working on the Whipps Cross site.
The Department of Respiratory Services at Whipps Cross Hospital aims to offer a comprehensive range of services to the local population of Waltham Forest, Western Redbridge and the neighbouring part of South West Essex.
The postholder will get an opportunity to gain exposure working mainly with inpatients but outpatients aswell if desired. The Respiratory Department provides an asthma, bronchiectasis, lung cancer, TB, pleural Clinic, bronchoscopy, COPD which include acute NIV, pulmonary rehabilitation and early discharge Services. The Service has a fully equipped lung function laboratory and dedicated outpatient facility (Chest Clinic)
The inpatient service comprises of 2 Respiratory wards -Faraday and Nightingale The junior staff listed above are distributed equally across both.

This provides a good educational opportunity and if the post holder is interested they will be able to gain audit, research or teaching experience. - To care for patients in the ward and arrange the on-going patient care
- To attend daily consultant-led ward or board rounds
- To be responsible for keeping of medical case-notes, ordering and interpreting investigations, writing electronic summaries and making referrals to other specialties.
- To ensure that discharge summaries are written out promptly and accurately.
- To interact with members of the multidisciplinary team in the interests of patients
- To flexibly support service needs as required
- Supervising and performing medical procedures.
