The post holder will work collaboratively with the Divisional Triumvirate team and RLH Corporate Nursing Teams. You will professionally and clinically support the leadership of the clinical workforce to deliver and achieve project outcomes.
As the post holder you will be responsible for the delivery of quality improvement projects for the RLH & MEH sites to ensure the provision of safe, quality and effective services within your remit. You will ensure that services provide the highest standards of professional practice, budgetary and performance management, and service improvement at all times; driving quality in our services to ensure outstanding patient care is at the heart of all we do.
We are seeking to recruit an inspirational leader with the ability to provide strategic vision, clinical expertise and the ability to direct and influence change that drives quality improvement and associated efficiencies. You will possess a demonstrable record of success in change management, service improvement and reduction of harm. The successful candidate will need to be able to continue to develop the workforce in order to meet the changing service demands.
Main duties of the job
- To Support the Assistant Director of Nursing for Quality Improvement and Transformation on all aspects of the Trust quality improvement and ward accreditation programme ensuring that all clinical areas are taken through the assessment process
- To contribute to project planning, start-up and delivery; Promoting an understanding of the Trusts transformation programme and championing the professional discipline of project management with DGT
- To develop, maintain and deliver change and simulation training to ensure teams have the skills and tools to make change rapidly and effectively
- Lead, project manage and facilitate teams of multi-disciplinary staff in the execution of the project, ensuring there is a structured approach to the redesign process and take accountability for overall project success
- To thoroughly analyse, report and communicate the progress and outcomes of allocated transformation projects throughout the project period via governance and performance management structures
- To provide leadership and consistency within the assessment process for the clinical area
- To complete the initial and follow up ward assessments for the wards across the organisatio
- Ensure that all actions arising from the assessment are communicated and acted upon
- To work closely with the Corporate Nursing, Delivery Unit team, Matrons and the clinical areas to ensure robust action plans are developed and priorities for quality improvement identified.
