Job summary

Are you a paediatric nurse with more than 18 months experience nurse looking to take on a new challenge and develop your High dependency skills. We at Barts Health are looking to recruit a small team of nurses to help us deliver the highest standard of care for our paediatric patients, and expanding our High dependency capacity.

Bartshealth is one of the largest acute and community children's practices in the UK. We recognise the growing needs of the children from the vibrant part of East London and committed to delivering excellence in specialist treatment, research, education, and care for children. We have a large number of acute and specialist services.

You will need to be willing to work within a team and undertake further learning with supported study time. You will have an individual mentor that will be dedicated to supporting you to enhance your skills. The role will allow you to develop your clinical skills as well as provide clinical care, support junior staff and influence the future of Paediatric Critical Care services at Barts Health.

You will be required to have Paediatric registration, mentorship/teaching and assessing modules and have had experience at band 5.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead by example as a nurse with enhanced knowledge and skills.. As an expert in the acutely unwell patient, the post holder will be responsible for setting and maintaining a high standard of nursing care to children and their families. Supporting staff where the clinical need is required, setting and delivering high standards of clinical care. The post holder will ensure available resources are utilized efficiently.
