We are looking for an experienced, ambitious, motivated Senior Children's nurse leader to join the Children's Hospital . You will become part of a motivated , forward thinking, warm and welcoming team who are striving to be the best and deliver high quality care to our children.

As a the Senior Nurse for Specialist Paediatrics you will be leading a team of more than 40 clinicial nurse specialsts as well as two specialist wards and out patients.You will be well supported by the matron team and operational management leads.
You will over see the day to day running of the services and ensure children are receiving timely effective high quality care You will be responsible for providing assurance to the ADON and senior leadership team that quality standards are being met and that the workforce are fit for purpose.
You will deputise for the Associate Director of Nursiong for Children and there will be opportunity for development for those aspiring to senior leadershiop roles.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide forward-thinking and professional leadership to all nursing staff and other staff groups, within Networked specialty services with a focus on outpatients including medical day care but will be responsible for managing the specialist bed capacity for elective / acute specialist work Responsibility for the Clinical Nurse Specialist teams. Manage specialist ward areas 7F and 7E wards, Sleep studies and respiratory physiology The post holder will integrate the Nursing Research team into the structure to facilitate both promotion of research within the unit but also opportunities for nurses to gain skills/experience in secondment to this area. This role will line manage sleep studies and respiratory technical services.
The post holder will also have full understanding of the key functions of the teams and services they manage ensuring the child and their family/carers experience in wards & departments is of a consistent high standard with an emphasis on safety, dignity and compassion. The post holder will understand the current local and national objectives for their responsible services and be able to plan and develop strategies to incorporate these into current services.
The post holder will work in partnership with the Clinical lead and General Manager for the services in their portfolio, developing the strategic direction and policy framework.
