We are therefore seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic member of staff to join our new and growing team in Medical and Dental Education at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, London.
The post holder will support the Medical and Dental Education Senior Management team in the smooth and efficient running of Medical and Dental Education at Bart's Health NHS Trust
The post holder will be responsible for working with colleagues across the Medical and Dental Education Team to coordinate and support meetings and projects and ensuring processes are followed and deadlines are met in a collaborative and cohesive way.
Main duties of the job
The Bart's Health NHS Trust has a large medical and dental workforce, and the Medical and Dental Education Department has overall responsibility for ensuring the delivery and quality of training Postgraduate and Foundation Trainee Doctors and Dentists as well as Undergraduate Medical Students.
The post holder will support the Medical and Dental Education Senior Management team in the smooth and efficient running of Medical and Dental Education at Bart's Health NHS Hospital.
This will include supporting the team across all areas including, but not restricted to, supporting administrative responsibilities for, the Associate Director of Medical and Dental Education, the Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education Leads, the Undergraduate Medical and Dental Education Lead, the Finance and NHS Education Contract Lead and the Associate Director, Human Resources, Education Academy including HR and project work.

Medical and Dental Education Team
- To work closely with the Medical and Dental Education Senior Team to provide administrative and project support,
- To work closely with the Medical and Dental Education Managers across the sites in the running of the site offices including covering for any annual leave/absence.
- To develop, and keep up to date relevant information for local Induction for Medical and Dental Education staff, including organisation charts, photos, and documentation
- To arrange and coordinate the local and trust wide Medical and Dental Education Team meetings and away days and associated events
- To maintain Human Resource information as directed by the Associate Director for HR
Project Support
- To provide admin support for Medical and Dental Education projects as directed by the Medical Education Senior team and the Associate Director for HR for the Education Academy
Course Delivery
- To organise Training programmes for the Medical and Dental Education department, liaising with other members of the team as appropriate and advising relevant speakers, booking rooms and informing
- To collect and analyse feedback for the continuous development of programme content and delivery
- To organise and distribute catering
Information Systems
- Input and manage data on our Trust systems
- Use Information Systems data to create reports for quality management and training purposes
- Attend training on the use of information systems and liaise with external suppliers regarding updates
- Maintain and update mailing lists and databases of all members of the Medical and Dental Education team
