Job summary
The Royal London hospital is looking to recruit band 5 nurses to join our critical care and surgical teams on our Post-Anaesthetic Care and Surgical High Dependency Unit.
This is a 12 bedded high dependency and enhanced care unit caring for complex elective surgical patients from multiple specialties. These include Neuro, Trauma, Hepatobiliary, Colorectal, Gynae-Oncology, Vascular, ENT, and Maxillo-Facial amongst others.
We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Registered Nurses who are either at the start of developing their leadership skills post HDU/critical care course or have band 6 experience in HDU and Enhanced Care and are looking for and exciting new challenge.
We are committed to developing and supporting a modern and flexible career framework within this exciting and evolving service. You will have the opportunity to rotate to our level 3 critical care unit to expand your knowledge and experience across the whole critical care spectrum.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic nurses with initiative and a willingness to learn. We aim to build a unit with high standards staffed by a variety of experience from newly qualified nurses through to nurses who have worked in a level 2 environment. Our practice development nurses have established an education programme for all levels of training needs.
As we develop our service we will look to start a rotation programme though our four wards including experience in theatres and critical care. We strive to ensure our nurses thrive in our service, we have an open door policy for anyone working in our division. We have a focus on our staff health and wellbeing and will continue to keep them are the forefront of the service as it build and develops.
