Your day mayinclude:

  • Triage,assessmentandtreatment ofpatientswith a wide range of medical/surgicalconditions

  • Delivering rehabilitationin various settings including our newcommunity-basedStroke Rehabilitation Unit

  • Assessingforand ordering equipment

  • Planning and implementing plansincluding home access visits to support discharge

  • Documenting care and communicating with the Therapyand widerteams,patientsand their families

  • Supervision ofsupportstaff and students

It is expected that the post holder will contribute to seven-day services.

Main duties of the job

This is a qualified post and provides an opportunity for the Therapist to consolidate core skills and competencies.

The key function of this role is mainly clinical and concentrates on the assessment of patients referred to the service.

The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner and will have the support of a senior therapist, and be part of the planning and implementation of therapy intervention in partnership with patients under their care.

These posts are rotational to ensure a rounded learning opportunity.

  • Evidence of theoretical knowledge and continuous professional development
  • Relevant undergraduate experience in acute setting at student level or sound knowledge base and ability to adapt
