Job summary
Rotating timetable to include Ward work, Emergency clinics, emergency Department referrals, and attendance in Routine Clinics and Theatre sessions. There will be the chance to attend Departmental teaching, and there will be a Clinical Supervisor similar to the arrangement for Deanery trainees.
Main duties of the job
- Participation in on-call rota. This will include some weekday nights at RHH, but also weekend first on call periodically at New Cross hospital Wolverhampton. There will be a need to have ID card access there, and there will be access to on-call rooms as required. For a suitable candidate there may be the opportunity to be involved in second-on-call duties which are non-resident.
- Participation in clinical audit, clinical governance and CPD appropriate to experience, together with contribution to education and training of medical students and junior staff
- Assist the Consultant and Registrar in Theatre and undertaking minor surgical procedures under the supervision of either the Consultant or Registrar.
- Undertake duties on the ward, in the outpatient clinics and operating theatres
