Job summary
An exciting opportunity for 12 month secondment for Deputy Director of Operations for Core Clinical Services within Community with Core Clinical Services Division (CCCS).
To provide managerial leadership to the Division.
To ensure that organisational, local and national performance requirements are met.
Ensure services and performance are delivered in the most efficient manner.
Ensure that resources are deployed in the most efficient manner.
Be a key influence in the Division for colleagues to provide transformational change.
Ensure that communication within the Division and from the Division to other areas of the Trust is in an engaging two-way constructive process.
Lead on cross-divisional programmes of work.
Deputise for the Director of Operations as required.
To participate in the Management On-call rota.
Main duties of the job
Ensure care provided in Division is of sufficient quality, meets needs of our patients, and is delivered within resources available
LeadershipA senior role model within the division and across the Trust.
Ensure all staff are providing or supporting provision of quality care, are involved in decision making, have an opportunity to influence and understand the broader corporate and Divisional plan.
Closely work with the Director of Operations on the strategic direction of the service and deputise for Director of Operations as required
General Operational Duties
Ensure a robust performance process is in place to deliver DM01, RTT and cancer targets
Quality of Care and Patient Experience
Ensuring processes are in place to ensure clinical guidelines and standards are implemented, delivered and maintained.
Supporting innovation and transformation in the Division across a range of key result areas.
Performance and Information
Ensure performance required of the Division is delivered in line with Trust and external expectations
To provide early warning, recovery plans and trajectories and exception reports where performance is below expectations.
Finance
Agreeing, monitoring and managing of Divisional budget and deliver agreed CIP targets
Ensure the Division operates within the Trusts Standing Financial Instructions
Workforce
Leading, motivating and developing all staff in the Division
Ensure process is in place for job planning, training, appraisals across the Division
