We have a vacancy for a Respiratory Nurse within the Dudley Respiratory Assessment Service for a motivated, innovative and enthusiastic nurse to join our highly skilled specialist team
The team deliver a high standard of respiratory care within various health care venues and in the patients' home.
The post will involve working with the respiratory multi-disciplinary team in primary care in the community and secondary care to assess patients in the hospital and in their own homes and subsequently implement plans and manage treatment, supporting both admission avoidance and early discharge strategies.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong clinical knowledge of respiratory disease to develop their skills and expertise in respiratory care.
To be considered for this post you must be a 1st level Registered Nurse with proven suitability and experience for the role.
Main duties of the job
The Post holder will work as a member of the well- established and successful Dudley Respiratory Assessment Service.
The successful candidates will be required to demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm and passion for the delivery of high quality, patient focused care for respiratory patients.
The role involves assessment of respiratory patients and the implementation and management of treatment which will contribute to both admission avoidance and early discharge strategies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as the post holder will be expected to liaise and work closely with clinicians and other healthcare professionals from both primary and secondary care.
To work a range of shifts between 8.00am and 7.00pm (over 4 days) for a service that operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year providing specialist support, assessing and implementing care, according to agreed protocols, throughout the patients pathway. To include In-Reach/Outreach, Respiratory Assessment Unit, Outpatient clinics, Nurse-led clinics, Open Access, Spirometry and Community visits.
