Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Patient Safety and investigation lead to join the Patient Safety Team at The Dudley GroupNHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a self-motivated, organised and dedicated individual to support divisions and directorates to manage their incidents. Theindividual must have excellent communication and time management skills, able to manage a busy workload with a flexible approach andexperience in leading an investigation and report writing.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation of the Trusts patient safety incident response plan helping to ensure the Trust actively learns in response to incidents and promotes a positive safety culture .
To ensure that appropriate systems and processes are in place across the Division to capture the learning from incidents, share good practice, opportunities for improved practice and actively change the delivery of care as a result of lessons learned.
To coordinate and ensure incidents are managed effectively, challenging the robustness of information provided and the effectiveness of actionsto manage the incidents.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the coordination of incident responses to ensure they are managed effectively and that any resultant plansare robust, implemented and lessons learnt are shared. This will include participating in investigations, working with a range of internal andexternal stakeholders and development and delivery of specific training programmes to staff .
