Job summary
There has never been a more exciting time to join Acute Medicine at Russell's Hall Hospital. First class staff are our best asset and recent investment is allowing us to expand our nursing team. An exciting opportunity has become available for a current band 7 or a senior band 6 looking for a change or to further in their career. The band 7 shift lead will be responsible for day today shift leading on the ward as well as assisting with lead nurse and matron with other responsibilities.
Main duties of the job
The band 7 shift lead will be responsible for day to day shift lead on the ward ensuring safety, quality and capacity is maintained at all times as well as assisting with lead nurse and matron with other responsibilities including rostering and governance related topics. You will also be allocated link nurse roles and be responsible for the audits and action plans for these.
The applicant must be able to work flexibly, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
