Job summary
An exciting opportunity is available to join the Cardiology team at Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust to work as a Cardiac Physiologist.
You will need to communicate, as appropriate, with patients, staff and other concerned parties, to ensure best quality service delivery in terms of patient satisfaction, efficiency and effectiveness. Applicants must be empathetic with patients, have good verbal communication skills and must already be qualified to SCST Certificate of Competency level.
The successful applicant will perform the full range of non-invasive cardiac investigations, including exercise stress testing, ambulatory recording/analysis, pacemaker implants, Cardiac Angiography and follow up clinics.
Consideration will be given to those currently awaiting exam results.
Main duties of the job
The applicant will continue to perform routine ECGs throughout the trust and fit ambulatory ECG and BP recorders and issue Event recorders. Additional training will also include Ambulatory Analysis of ECG & BP, Event recorder issuing and reporting, Exercise testing as second person and helping with Stress Echos & TOEs.
The applicant will also be responsible for their own admin work connected to their patient procedures performed and also to assist any colleagues with theirs if needed.
