Job summary
A new opportunity has arisen for a motivated experienced occupational Therapist who has experience working in frailty/elderly medicine to join our frailty therapy team.
The post holder will have the opportunity to work on our frailty bedded ward, same day emergency care seated unit and our new frailty virtual ward and will rotate around these areas. This post is working in the hospital and also in the community, working closely with the hospital MDT and with existing community therapy teams.
You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills by having the responsibility to supervise therapy assistants, band 5 staff and students.

Main duties of the job
This is a senior occupational therapy postrequiring significant post graduate experience.
The post holder will be responsible for the advanced assessment of patients, who may have complex and/or chronic presentation, and will provide highly specialist advice, teaching and training to therapy colleagues working in other clinical areas, and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
The post holder will also undertake a coordinating role in the delivery of the therapy service within their specific clinical area on a day-to-day basis and this will include the provision of a 7-day service in our clinical specialities. The post holder will also support junior staff members and students.
