An opportunity has arisen to join the Tissue Viability Team as a Tissue Viability Sister working across acute and community services. This is an exciting opportunity if you have a passion for wound care and a desire to work in a forward thinking specialist team. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and efficient nurse with experience of managing a wide variety of acute, chronic and complex wounds to Tissue Viability team Experience of working acute and community settings is essential. The Applicant will have excellent organizational skills, be a strong communicator, able to act on their own initiative, adapt to new situations, and enjoy working in and contributing to the work of a fast-paced, high performing operational team. It is essential applicants have significant recent wound management experience including knowledge of the use of a wide range of wound care treatments and therapies. They will be proficient in Microsoft Office N365 Systems have a proven record in evaluation of products, teaching, assessing and research. You will be required to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels, including report writing and Policy development. You will have a proven background in wound care management. You will need to be able to demonstrate good interpersonal, negotiation, verbal and written communication skills. You will also need to be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills and an ability to plan, prioritize and manage your time and problem solve effectively.
Main duties of the job
- Undertake nursing assessment and examination and identify nursing problems and goals
- Assist in the design/development of care plans/related to specialism for ward/department/Community nurses to deliver.
- Make and receive referral from other healthcare professionals under the guidance of the Lead Nurse/CNS
- Carry out specialist interventions.
- Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of outcomes of care.
- Support staff in the care setting in selecting the appropriate equipment to meet the patient's clinical needs.
- Support the CNS in equipment selection pathway/guidance.
