Job summary
To provide managerial leadership to the Division.
To ensure that organisational, local and national performance requirements are met.
Ensure services and performance are delivered in the most efficient manner.
Ensure that resources are deployed in the most efficient manner.
Be a key influence in the Division for all colleagues to provide transformational change.
Ensure that communication within the Division and from the Division to other areas of the Trust is an engaging two-way constructive process.
Line manager to the Directorate Managers within the Division.
Lead on cross-Divisional programmes of work on behalf of the Director of Operations.
Deputise for the Director of Operations as required,
Required to participate in the Trust's On-Call Rota.
Support the delivery of 7 day working through this role and service provided by the Division
Main duties of the job
Key Result Areas
The Deputy Director of Operations will ensure the care provided in the Division is of sufficient quality, meets the needs of our patients, and is delivered within the resources available in the following domains by:
Leadership
Providing a managerial role model within the Division and across the Trust, and externally in line with the Trust values.
Quality of Care and Patient Experience
Ensuring that processes are in place to ensure clinical guidelines and standards are implemented, delivered and maintained.
Clinical Governance
Ensuring processes are in place to identify, describe, rate, mitigate and manage risks within the Division which complement and adhere to organisational and external requirements.
Performance and Information
Ensuring that the performance required of the Division is delivered in line with Trust and external expectations
Business and Finance
Agreeing, monitoring and managing of Divisional budgets.
Workforce
Leading, motivating and developing all staff in the Division.
Personal Development
Develop and maintain strong working relationships within the Trust and across the NHS.
