Job summary
We have a vacancy for a staff nurse to join our team within Outpatients. The post holder will join a team of Nurses, HCSW's and CSWs to provide excellent care for those coming in for an outpatient appointment, these may include dressing wounds in plastics nurse led clinic, performing ECGs or venepuncture. The successful applicant must be willing to work across all six areas of Outpatients including Corbett and Guest. Full support and training will be given.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care without supervision. They will be required to actively participate in the teaching and supervision of other nursing and non-nursing staff.
The post holder will also be required to take a lead / link role for the nursing unit/department to be determined on appointment/appraisal.
Will need to be confident and competent in the assessment and care of complex wounds following plastic surgery.
