Job summary

We are looking for individuals wishing to become a Radiographer and join our friendly and inclusive Imaging team in the relevant areas:

2 x Apprentice Radiographer for Diagnostic Imaging

Apprentices and newly qualified staff are supported throughout their training by our professional development team and radiographic assessors and mentors.

Our Trust supports a culture of continual learning and are committed to your career advancement, we have also launched our Accelerated Development Programme for Band 5-6 progression which is competency based.

We are a busy multi-skilled department, based at Russell's Hall Acute Hospital, with sites at Corbett and Guest outpatient departments. Upon qualification, you will be expected to take part in any shift systems 7days a week, Bank Holiday and on-call service as required, supervising and assisting out of hours staff.

Main duties of the job

You will train within your designated speciality offering a variety of patients from inpatients, outpatients and GPs, adult and paediatric.

You will have academic blocks at the University supporting the programme (to be confirmed) throughout the 3 year course. You will work four clinical days/week and have one study day per week.

  • A Level, Grade BBC, B in a science subject
  • IB Grade 28 in Science HL5
  • GCSE Grade c or 4** in Maths and English
  • Access to Higher Education Diploma to Health Science or Science to include: 25 Level 3 credits at Distinction Grade and 20 Level 3 credits at Merits Grade, including at least 12 Level 3 credits at Merit Grade in a relevant Science subject
  • 60 credits at 60 % or above in a relevant foundation degree
