Job summary
To be involved in organising learning activities and delivering teaching for Undergraduate Medical Students across 3rd, 4th and 5th Years.
To liaise with medical students and identify any student issues as they arise. You will be expected to keep the Head of Teaching Academy informed of any issues or problems.
To work collaboratively with HEE West Midlands' Virtual Learning strategy, engaging with senior leaders in the Post Graduate Virtual Learning Environment team on a local and regional scale, spanning across multiple schools. The selected candidate will also become a working member of the simulation strategy team for HEE West Midlands, with the aim to promote the simulation hub at Russells Hall Hospital.
Main duties of the job
- Teaching Responsibilities 60%- assist the teaching team in the delivery of all aspects of teaching to a range of undergraduate students.
- Clinical attachment, research and audit 40%
- To assist the teaching team in the assessment of 3rd, 4th and 5th year students, to include case presentations, work-based placed assessments and OSCEs.
- To assist the Consultants in the evaluation of teaching methods for students.
- To teach on the lecture programme for 3rd year undergraduate students when required - including the preparation of PowerPoint presentations.
- To have an interest in information technology and digital systems to develop expertise in Undergraduate and Postgraduate training and education, to support the delivery of technology enhanced learning.
