The Rehab and Falls pathway within Dudley are recruiting a full-time administrator into a new post, to be part of an exciting and innovative remodel of the service. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to the clinical services, enabling them to focus on delivering excellent patient care and rehabilitation in the community.
The ideal candidate will have a proven administration background, a strong sense of teamwork but can work independently and has the ability to adapt to changing work practices.
The successful candidate will be based primarily at Brierley Hill Health and social care centre but will be expected to work across sites if required. The current working practices are Monday to Friday 8am til 4pm but this will be subject to change as the services develop.
Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive administrative support to help develop the remodelling of the service, using initiative to prioritise and manage workload.
To provide first point of contact for Rehab and Falls, liaising with clients, carers, professionals, Trust departments, suppliers & others contacting the Team & deal with these requests appropriately.
To utilise knowledge of IT skills, contributing to quality data assimilation in relation to referral information, caseload management, resource management, audit & other service development initiatives thereby contributing to the continued development & effectiveness of the service.
To support to Rehab and Falls Team Leaders in all aspects of administration, secretarial tasks and financial/data reports.
An integral part of the post-holder's duties will be processing referrals ready for triage via an electronic system & dealing with patient queries. A high degree of accuracy & attention to detail is therefore required as well as an excellent telephone manner.
The successful candidate will possess sound communication skills, both written and verbal, a good working knowledge of computerised systems and email, as well as the ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines. In addition the post-holder will have relevant experience of administrative, typing and word processing, together with recent experience of dealing with the public. A degree of flexibility is also required to meet the changing needs of the service.
