We are looking for a Specialist Stroke Physiotherapist Therapist to provide community rehabilitation for adults with a stroke diagnosis, providing evidence based assessment and treatment, working alongside other members in the multi-disciplinary team to provide an effective and efficient rehabilitation service.
To provide specialist physiotherapy in an outpatient and domiciliary settings to patients with a variety of physical disorders following a stroke.
To provide specialist knowledge, training, advice and support to colleagues, patients and their carers about stroke recovery.
To provide leadership, training, supervision and appraisal for more junior staff.
To work collaboratively with the inpatient therapy services in Dudley to ensure a seamless transition of care. To be involved in evaluation and audits to help develop DRS and the physiotherapy provision in Dudley.
To be an independent practitioner managing a caseload of patients including those with complex needs, carrying out assessments, therapy, and evaluation of interventions.
Main duties of the job
To provide an effective and efficient physiotherapy service that strives to enhance the overall well-being and independence of individuals who have experienced a stroke, promoting their successful reintegration into their communities.
Responsibilities encompass delivering evidence-based assessments and treatments tailored to both groups and individuals as needed. Proficiency in specialist stroke handling skills is crucial, along with the development of therapy programs and the effective discharge planning of patients.
