Job summary
An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated individual to join the C8 Stroke Team as Housekeeper/Cleanliness support worker.
The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward team. They will assist in providing a clean, tidy, safe and comfortable environment for patients that will ensure the nursing team are able to deliver a high quality of service to the Trust patients. They will support vulnerable stroke patients with eating and drinking.
The post holder will be required to work closely with the nursing team and support services. They will raise any issues regarding quality standards with the lead nurse.
Main duties of the job
- To cover a 5 day service Monday to Friday.
- To ensure the ward environment is safe and tidy at all times e.g. remove clutter, tidy notice boards etc.
- To ensure patients' bed areas, lockers, tables and seating are kept clean and tidy, deal with splashes and spillages as appropriate, removing waste with the consent of the patient.
- To prepare patients environment for mealtimes
- To undertake patients tea rounds.
