Job summary
The Radiography Practice Educator will be responsible for supporting the facilitation of learning into practice across a multi-level workforce from education levels 2-7; to include the promotion of a positive learning environment. The Radiography Practice Educator will also support the department in all areas of training and development including clinical skills and medical students.
The multi-level workforce includes undergraduate students, Imaging Aides, Assistant Practitioners, Apprentices, existing Diagnostic Radiographic and Nursing staff, trainee Advanced Practitioners, Sonographers in Imaging and medical students. The post holder will also be expected to support work experience placements.

Main duties of the job
The Practice Educator will:
- Be the main point of contact for all learners in the clinical setting.
- Support teaching sessions such as tutorials and 1-2-1 with learners in Imaging.
- Contribute to the development, planning and organisation of the continuous professional development of Imaging staff i.e. CPD sessions, audit, training days.
- Sign off competency and assessment criteria based upon the standards produced by the education provider and HCPC/NMC.
- Mentor and assess learners in the department.
- Become a role model that demonstrates effective leadership.
- Support learners in the clinical setting and provide stability and consistency throughout their training by providing clinical supervision, education and assessment for all levels and types of learners within our workforce.
- Support work experience placements in Imaging.
-Provide education and training to medical students and support clinical skills team.
