Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinically experienced pharmacist to develop a unique role in the Dudley Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) and Imaging directorate. The Community Diagnostic Centres for Dudley aim to incorporate Imaging (Plain X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI +/- mammography and DEXA scanning), a range of cardiorespiratory investigations including echocardiography, ECG and rhythm monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, spirometry, FeNO, lung function tests, simple field tests, sleep studies, oximetry, blood gas analysis and pathology services in a "one stop" location to obtain diagnostic information in cancer, cardiac, respiratory, musculo-skeletal and other conditions. For this first of it's kind role, we are looking for a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic individual that will provide clinical expertise and leadership to ensure delivery of high quality pharmaceutical care to patients in this setting. You will be an integral part of the MDT, promote medicines optimisation and play a vital role in the training of staff. The post holder will have strong interpersonal skills, ideally with an independent prescribing qualification. Main duties of the job

The Lead Pharmacist - Community Diagnostic Centres & Imaging will: provide expert clinical pharmacy advice to clinical teams and patients within the Diagnostic Hub and Imaging service

Lead on medicines optimisation programmes within the Imaging service to ensure better value medicines Where suitably qualified, support clinical assessment and prescribing of preparation drugs, conscious sedation, contrast media and anti-allergy or resuscitation medication Be responsible for all aspects of medicines management and governance within the Diagnostic Hubs and Imaging departments
