An exciting opportunity for Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist in neurology has become available in Dudley Rehabilitation Service. The post holder will be the lead speech therapist in the community Neurology pathway and to jointly lead the speech therapists within Dudley Rehabilitation Service.

Full time opportunities may become available in the future.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be the lead speech therapist in the community Neurology pathway and to jointly lead the speech therapists within Dudley Rehabilitation Service.

They will be an expert resource in the provision of evidence based assessment and care for the management of patients with long term neurological conditions, working alongside other members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide an effective and efficient service.

They will provide highly specialist SLT in outpatient and domiciliary settings to caseload of complex neurology patients and provide specialist training, advice and support to colleagues, patients and their carers about progressive neurological conditions.

They will work collaboratively with the inpatient speech therapy service in Dudley to ensure a seamless transition of care. To be involved in evaluation and audits to help develop DRS and the speech therapy provision in Dudley.

They will be an independent practitioner managing a caseload of patients including those with complex needs, carrying out assessments, therapy, and evaluation of intervention
