Job summary

Dudley has been selected as a site for the roll-out of the Targeted Lung Health Check programme, a national programme. We are looking for a programme manager who can lead the implementation of the programme in Dudley to ensure that screening starts as early as possible. Working with partners, you will develop a sustainable approach. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to changing services for the benefit of our population.

(Fixed term or secondment until 31st March 2025)

Main duties of the job

This is a key role working alongside Directors, managers and clinicians to ensure that the priority of introducing Targeted Lung Health Check programme is delivered. The role carries specific responsibility for:

  • working with a broad range of stakeholders including departments, Divisions, other trusts, the ICB and regional colleagues to ensure the success and sustainability of the programme in Dudley.
  • defining current processes, facilitating discussions, and advising colleagues as to how best practice might be adopted in the definition of future processes, document those processes as they are agreed and oversee their delivery.
  • leading the provision of an efficient, effective, and high quality professional and well-co-ordinated service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.
