Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified individuals to take on the role of Directorate Manager within the Surgery, Women's and Children's Division. The right candidates will preferably have extensive NHS experience, will have previous experience in operational roles managing clinical services and will be comfortable working with both clinical and non-clinical colleagues to redesign and develop services. We are looking for someone who can deliver against performance standards while engaging and leading in an effective way.
The post holders will work as part of the triumvirate management team, working closely with the Matron, and Clinical Director as well providing leadership within the rest of the Directorate.

Main duties of the job
To be managerially responsible for the Directorate, providing clear leadership and working with the Clinical Lead, Clinical Director, Matron, Director of Operations and Chief of Surgery to ensure the provision of high quality patient care and the most efficient and cost effective use of resources.
To be responsible for ensuring that within all specific work areas all local and national performance standards and objectives are met. To be responsible for ensuring the operational delivery of services; leading and effectively implementing change management initiatives to improve service provision.
