Job summary
This is a Trust Doctor (non-training) Level 1 post equivalent to FY2/ST1
- Working on AMU: continuous assessment and review of new admissions and unstable patients, completing ward rounds and jobs under consultant/registrar supervision; performing procedures according to competences; communication with patients/family
- Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC): reviewing new patients and returns.
- Participate in the on call rota.
- Contributing to the clinical governance - audit, service improvement projects, teaching rota.
- To participate in Continuous Medical Education (CME) and maintain a portfolio for revalidation.
- Maintain mandatory training.
Main duties of the job
- Normal Working day consists of covering the unit from either 0900 to 1700 when working in general internal medicine and 0800-1600 when working within acute internal medicine.
- The post holder will be expected to be part of the twilight rota to cover AMU and SDEC
- The post holder will be required to participate in an on-call rota and will be paid accordingly subject to the department you are working in.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to further develop and improve the service.
