Sister/Charge Nurse-Palm Ward

We are excited to be recruiting a Clinical sister / Charge Nurse to join Palm ward who shares our ambition and vision to continue to deliver 'good care' (As rated by the CQC) and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

The Palm ward team is skilled, highly motivated and actively engaged with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care. If successful you must be prepared to provide high quality evidence-based care and be proactive in adapting to meet the needs of our service. Effective communication skills and the ability to work efficiently within a team are integral to this role. Our unit recognises the importance of staff health and well-being and the support that is necessary to maintain it.

This is a unique opportunity to care for Respiratory conditions Giving you time to Nurse your patients with pride.

You will have previously completed courses in HDU, phlebotomy cannulation and mentoring, and have proven clinical experience.

Please Note that palm ward does care for AGP patients and that at times you will be expected to wear full PPE and be compliant with the trust PPE policy.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for providing all aspects of patient care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. The post holder will assist and is expected to supervise junior staff and be able to teach qualified and unqualified staff
