A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, compassionate, forward thinking and experienced Midwife to work as the Lead Professional Midwifery Advocate (PMA) for Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, supporting the maternity team and being an integral part of our dedicated workforce and well-being team. We are looking for a passionate Midwife to step into the Professional Midwifery Advocate (PMA) lead role.
Main duties of the job
Utilise agreed metrics to demonstrate on going added value of the role of Professional Midwifery Advocate and monitoring outcomes for staff and women e.g. whether there is a reduction in complaints by women, or improved satisfaction surveys or there is a reduction in sickness absence for midwives and improved retention of midwivesIdentify, collate, analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to inform the development of reports regarding the process, impact and outcome of the PMA role and the A-EQUIP modelBe innovative and creative when determining strategies to improve quality of care and embed evidence based practiceAct as a role model by applying continuous personal improvement by using positive learning approaches and encourage others to adopt this cultureUse their understanding of personal and professional resilience and support others to develop this attributeSupporting midwives to advocate for womenEnable midwives to be responsible and accountable for their actions and behaviours by creating a safe space to think, feel, reflect utilising the principles of RCS
