Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist, either recently or newly qualified. The Cardiology department performs a wide range of invasive and non-invasive tests.You will be actively encouraged to develop your skills and knowledge through self-study, in-house training and external training and national conference attendance. To be successful the candidate should independently practice with a high level of skill and autonomy at Band 5 level in non-invasive diagnostics with proven skills in ECG recordings and rhythm recognition. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of interventional cardiology and basic cardiac pacing. You will be patient focused and enjoy a varied and at times challenging workload

Main duties of the job

CRM Clinic Clinical Duties & Responsibilities'To assist in brady and complex device follow-up clinicsInterpret and report remote PPM and ILR transmission data across different remote platforms, with direct/indirect supervision.

Non-Invasive Clinical Duties & ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate comprehensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy, conditions and pathologiesResting 12-lead ECG acquisition and interpretation to SCST standard.Advanced technical analysis of ambulatory ECGProduce comprehensive, unsupervised ambulatory ECG reports of a highly professional standardProvide cover for the Assistant Cardiac Practitioners to fit ambulatory ECG and BP monitorsLead role in cardiac physiologist-led and doctor-supervised exercise testing for the ischaemic and inherited cardiac condition patient cohorts with provision of full and accurate technical reportAble to risk assess patients and escalate results to senior colleagues or medical staff depending on clinical findings.

Invasive Clinical dutiesTo assist and lead in the implantation of ILR devices and to provide a high level of education to the patient.Introduction to coronary intervention cath lab
