We are seeking staff to join our team as Maternity Support Workers. This role is at the frontline of a family's journey through pregnancy, childbirth and the first few days of birth.
Full time or part time hours are available
Main duties of the job
Maternity Support Workers provide direct delivery of clinical care to all women and babies accessing maternity services Under the direction of the midwife; they will manage their own time effectively whilst prioritising the care needs of the women and their babies.
The post is rotational and the employee will be provided with appropriate training for the clinical setting in which they are working. These settings include antenatal, postnatal and intrapartum inpatient care. They will also be required to undertake routine clerical duties, completing Trust documentation relevant to the department.
