Job summary

Are you currently working in a community or acute paediatric environment and looking for a change?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Named Nurse to join our current Children and Young People's Safeguarding team within the Trust. This is an opportunity to job share the Named Nurse role with the current experienced post holder.

Our CYP safeguarding team works collaboratively in a single hub which encompasses CYP, maternity and adult safeguarding teams alongside mental health, and learning disability nurses. The CYP team comprises a part time Named Nurse, and Band 7 Safeguarding Sisters and a Band 6 Liaison nurse and you will co-lead the provision of a robust child protection and safeguarding service across the Darent Valley and Queen Mary's Sidcup Hospital sites.

Main duties of the job

You will lead and coordinate the safeguarding and promotion of children and young people's welfare within the Trust and across a multi-agency arena, and be a source of expertise to all staff on safeguarding issues including the provision of statutory and mandatory training, and the identification of vulnerable children. You will advise the Trust on all matters related to risk management and safeguarding children and young people in relation to Child Protection and Safeguarding issues. The post holder will co-manage the Children's safeguarding team
